Service tasks such as replacing small parts and compilation of measured values are often company-owned activities but could also be part of service contracts for customers.

Mobile Quality Control provides mobile acquisition of the accumulated data and management in a centralised database on the basis of Lotus Notes.

The proper activity for the appropriate machine

It is difficult to keep an overview of cyclical maintenance tasks so a dynamic, accurate schedule of upcoming activities on a daily basis is a tremendous help. This is how it works: after scanning a barcode, the service engineer receives the list of required tasks for the relevant machine. Whether the task has to be confirmed after completion or the measured values must be collated – the data is recorded on a handheld. Afterwards, this is stored in a Lotus Notes database.

Statistics can be dynamically created by authorised users or customers via a web browser.

Cost transparency and statistical evaluation

Within the Lotus Notes database are statistical evaluations, data tracing and workflow components are available such as notification when exceeding a tolerance range or when an activity is simply forgotten.

MQC answers the following questions:

How high are the machine maintenance costs and which are the cost centres?
Which supplementary materials, e.g. lubricants and oils, were used and which quantities?
What is the development of the measured values over a period of several calendar weeks?
