Ulm, 19th May 2008 — FRITZ & MACZIOL have continued to add to the number of awards it has won in recent years with the systems house once again being presented with the IBM Beacon Award. Prizes are given in a total of 36 categories and IBM honoured F&M´s achievements with its worldwide highest tribute in the area "Overall Technical Excellence - Europe, Middle East and Africa". Being also selected as a finalist for the category "Outstanding Complementary Services Growth with IBM Global Services" makes it clear that FRITZ & MACZIOL rightfully belongs to the group of leading IBM business partners in the world for the area of IBM services. Managing Director, Heribert Fritz, accepted the awards during a ceremony as part of this year´s IBM Business Partner Leadership Conference on 1 May 2008 in Los Angeles at the Kodak Theatre – the same venue as the Oscars.
"Any Service on Any IBM System" – behind this catch-phrase is an innovative solution consisting of a technical concept supported by IBM systems and software, consulting and implementation services, which allows the customer – depending upon requirements – to access services and applications and to make these available at any time within the company. The jury was won over by this concept in the category "Overall Technical Excellence". A further important criterion was the verifiable high level of customer satisfaction based on a series of reference projects as well as the wide-ranging expertise of FRITZ & MACZOL personnel, in particular with regard to IBM POWER systems in connection with SAP along with the area of high availability. First-class standards of quality and outstanding know-how in all IBM lines are integral parts of the company philosophy of this leading provider of software, systems and services.
