Ulm, 24th June 2010. — The FRITZ & MACZIOL Group has impressively proven its expertise and know-how once again in all three business fields of hardware, software and services in the global IBM Business Partner competition. The Group won the IBM Beacon Award as winner in two categories this year for the first time. Out of hundreds of competitors IBM honoured the services of FRITZ & MACZIOL with the highest awards as winners in Services for the "Outstanding Teaming with IBM Global Technology Services (GTS)" and in Business Analytics for the innovative BI/BPM-solution STAS CONTROL for medium-sized and large customers. FRITZ & MACZIOL was also honoured as a finalist in Smarter Work for setting up a Value Net and in Storage and System Integration for "Outstanding IBM Storage Solution for Major Markets". The Group was considered for the IBM Bestseller Award at the start of the year. FRITZ & MACZIOL emerged as the winner in the "Best General Business Partner" and "Best IBM XIV Partner" categories. Thus, the Group can claim to be the IBM Business Partner worldwide with the most awards.

For FRITZ & MACZIOL Managing Director Heribert Fritz the new awards confirm the Group's consistent strategy: “We have been following a strategy of offering the highest quality and excellent know-how in all IBM areas for a long time. The awards from IBM reflect our excellent solutions expertise, which gives customers high added value and, thus, a better business result."

Just like last year, the FRITZ & MACZIOL Group impressed once again with its outstanding cooperation with the IBM Service Team. For this reason, the jury awarded the IBM Beacon Award "Outstanding Teaming with IBM Global Technology Services (GTS)" in Services. The second Beacon Award from IBM recognised the outstanding know-how of FRITZ & MACZIOL and its subsidiary STAS in Business Analytics – and made the Group a double winner for the first time in the company’s history. The innovative BI/BPM solution STAS CONTROL primarily supports medium and large-sized customers in planning, analysis and control.

FRITZ & MACZIOL achieved nomination as a finalist in Smarter Work, one of three new award categories in the total of nine. For the jury, setting up a Value Net was crucial, under the auspices of which FRITZ & MACZIOL Asia Inc. works successfully with IBM and a further global player for an international telecommunications company. FRITZ & MACZIOL was an "Outstanding IBM Storage Solution for Major Markets" finalist in Storage and System Integration with an innovative deduplication concept for two computer centres in different locations.

The company had won the coveted IBM Bestseller Award at the end of January at the IBM Channel Kick-off 2010. The awards for "Best General Business Partner" and "Best IBM XIV Partner" are a recognition of FRITZ & MACZIOL’s growth, commitment and excellent turnover in 2009 in the IBM-sectors of XIV and medium-sized business.
