A highly qualified staff team and investments in new and innovative solutions and products enable the company to meet its customers’ requirements with an “everything-from-one-source approach” and, thus, to guarantee a high level of benefits for the customer. The developments in detail:
FRITZ & MACZIOL Software- und Computervertrieb GmbH
Honoured once again with the IBM Beacon Award, the highest recognition for an IBM Business Partner in the world, FRITZ & MACZIOL has also proven its expertise in IT solutions (hardware, software, services) for the first half year 2008. In the sector of own software applications, services and software solutions (IBM, Microsoft) organic growth of 55 % compared to the previous year has been achieved. The reasons for this include new themes that are providing sensible strategic growth for FRITZ & MACZIOL’s range of services. Thus, the systems company gives customers optimum benefits from corporate data and information, with a portfolio expansion in Business Intelligence Solutions from the worldwide leading supplier Cognos. As an official IBM FileNet ValueNet Partner, FRITZ & MACZIOL has also now expanded its know-how on IBM Enterprise Content Management (ECM) to conception and realisation of FileNet solutions.
Infrastructure business with products from IBM and VMware has also increased rapidly compared to the previous year’s period with a rise of almost 30 %.
In order to give more specific support to the focus on medium-sized companies, which has been in place since the firm was founded,
FRITZ & MACZIOL is currently realising a Midmarket model that targets small and medium-sized customers. In this context, the company has a selected team of experts with many years’ practical experience in all regions and, thus, in direct proximity, which knows the needs of this market perfectly and can supply appropriate solutions.
FRITZ & MACZIOL Managing Director Frank Haines, on this: “With regard to our corporate strategy, we have long been focussing mainly on medium-sized companies. We understand the requirements of this market. This customer orientation and our broad portfolio enable us to respond to individual circumstances and, therefore, offer our customers an optimum IT solution.”
The infrastructure and machine-oriented services sector has also developed positively. A rapid increase has been achieved especially in the SAP Technology Consulting and Remote Services Sector with organic growth of around 20 % compared to 2007. As a certified SAP Service Partner FRITZ & MACZIOL offers consulting and services from one source to companies of any size for all infrastructure solutions concerning SAP systems.
FRITZ & MACZIOL has continued to promote its positioning as a strong Microsoft partner for infrastructure and licensing business in the first six months of the year. Thus, the company has expanded the Microsoft Competence Center by investing in new staff and, therefore, technical and sales skills. As experts for comprehensive Microsoft solutions, the offer also includes the strategic business fields Infrastructure Optimisation (IO) and Software Asset Management (SAM). At the start of the year the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner was officially named a Microsoft Large Account Reseller (LAR) and Enterprise Software Advisor (ESA). This means that FRITZ & MACZIOL is entitled to offer all contract forms for optimum licensing in companies.
The status as an official EMC Velocity Signature Solution Center Partner, the highest EMC partner status, took place on 01/01/2008. This represents a sensible extension of the product portfolio in storage, backup and virtualisation and has expanded the leading market position in this sector.
For Managing Directors Heribert Fritz and Oliver Schallhorn the exclusive use of leading technologies also confirms the successful corporate strategy: “Our IT solutions and service offers are based on the world-class technologies of our manufacturing partners. Constant investment in comprehensive training measures for our staff is therefore essential so that we can offer broad and deep know-how in all areas. This is the only way to offer customers solutions that are tailored to their requirements. We have achieved our strong market position with this approach to quality and will continue our growth trend in this way and not just for the current financial year.”
INFOMA® Software Consulting GmbH
With the integrated complete solution newsystem®communal for the new municipal accounting system, INFOMA® still enjoys a leading position in the market of municipal software. Around 50,000 users in more than 750 administrations are now working with INFOMA® daily. The INFOMA® process has once again proven its legal conformity with certification by an independent audit company and an associated difference assessment based on the test catalogue created by the association of auditors in NRW (VERPA). Certification is almost complete for the federal states of Hesse and Schleswig Holstein amongst others.
The basis of our success is that we have implemented corporate and product strategy from the outset without compromise, we have reacted to continuing themes early on and, thus, we have always taken the changing and growing needs of local governments into account. Innovative product expansions, such as analysis and control, document management and property and buildings management, allow for the increasingly central role of accounting in local government IT and support future-oriented processes.
Supporting local government in the processes of change using well-founded conceptional advice is the task of the newly established department consult® communal. As an holistic partner, the team under the leadership of Dr Gerald Peters supports local governments and public institutions on their complex path to the new municipal accounting system.
With the takeover of the Swiss Information Technology & Trust AG (IT&T AG) on 01/05/2008 INFOMA® intends to promote municipal expansion of business in Switzerland. IT&T AG, which has been providing products for finances and accounting for public institutions successfully in Switzerland for 14 years, represents an ideal opportunity to expand and optimise the solutions offered there.
Since the technology platform used by IT&T and INFOMA®, synergies can be achieved in the area of product development and portfolio. The first success is the seamless implementation of the INFOMA® module to assess fees, charges and contributions for a new customer in Switzerland.
Investing in the development of products and new solutions and in staff remains of the utmost priority to Managing Directors Eberhard Macziol and Oliver Couvigny in the second half of the year: “We will develop and add innovations to our product portfolio in accordance with the future themes requested by local authorities. The aim is to consolidate and continue expansion of our strong position in the German-speaking area. We have created the essential prerequisites with a staff team that has comprehensive know-how and many years’ experience from countless successfully realised projects.”
The high quality and expertise of the INFOMA® team is also proven by the recent award from Microsoft. For the third time in a row, INFOMA® was appointed to the Microsoft Dynamics Inner Circle, an award that goes exclusively to the sixty most successful Microsoft Dynamics partners in the world. INFOMA® is Microsoft’s no. 1 partner in the public sector field.
Outlook
Through further investments in innovative technologies, services, consulting and the know-how of a motivated and qualified staff team, and the expansion of market presence, the FRITZ & MACZIOL Group also wants to achieve two-figure growth in the second half year of 2008. Specific, thematic acquisitions are also part of the plans.
