International orientation remains focus no. 1 for the IAS team in the 2008 financial year. This also includes an increased worldwide trade fair presence. To gain a presence in the hugely expanding Russian market, Claus Jordan had initial talks with a partner active in St. Petersburg. There are great opportunities in many industries with the well-engineered VAS® product family. In the Latin American region, Markus Lanz took part in the key “World of Concrete” trade fair in Mexico and, in so doing, zeroed in on the increasing global significance of the country as the link between North and South America. A new IAS Service Office has been opened here for this region. The next VAS® trade fair appearance for the IAS Business Unit Western Region, represented by Adrian E. Brown, is planned for the Cemtech Conference in London. The annual highlight for the MENA region is the Arab International Cement Conference and Exhibition (November) in Cairo. The IAS Team from FRITZ & MACZIOL is presenting the VAS® product line at its own trade fair stand and with a talk by Bader Al Shathry. For the first time, the IAS-Team also appeared at the world’s largest environmental trade fair, IFAT 2008 in Munich, with the eANV product line (electronic waste management). The eANVportal® allows companies to complete the entire bureaucratic process electronically future orientated for waste collection, transport, disposal as well as necessary official documentation.
